Jan. 13

Report of recovered stolen property in the 1100 block of East St. Helens Drive. Reporting party was on his way to work when he saw the boat cover that was stolen from him last week on another boat in the neighborhood. Estimated value $1,500. The boat owner said he had purchased it from a friend the night before for $50.

Report of vehicle prowl in the 1200 block of South Balsam Street. Victim said unknown subjects broke into his vehicle and stole chains and an emergency kit.

Report of theft from an agency at 1651 South Pilgrim St. Victim said she went into the office and her purse was stolen from her car while she was gone. Estimated value of purse and contents was about $900.

Report of attempted theft at a residence in the 500 block of North Fig Street. Sometime overnight unknown suspects tried to pry the lock of an outbuilding, but left a metal file and screwdriver in the door.

Report of possible mail theft. Reporting party said his new credit card was stolen and used for unauthorized purchases.

Report of a two-vehicle, non-injury accident in the parking lot of a business at 601 South Pioneer Way. Driver of vehicle 1 backed into vehicle 2.

A man, no age given, was seen walking near the police department office and found to have two warrants. He was arrested and transported to the Grant County Jail.

A 16-year-old boy was arrested on an outstanding warrant for probation violation.

Report of theft from a business at 813 North Stratford Rd. Male suspect came into the store the previous day and stole a computer off the counter. Estimated value $500.

Report of credit card fraud. Victim said she had unauthorized purchases on her credit card made at locations outside Moses Lake.

Report of two-vehicle, non-injury accident at the intersection of South Beech Street and West Fourth Avenue. Driver of vehicle 1 attempted a U-turn and ran into vehicle 2, which he said he didn't see.

Report of theft from a residence in the 1000 block of West Ivy Avenue. Victim said unknown suspect entered the garage and stole a gas can containing about one gallon of fuel.

Report of possible stolen vehicle at South Evergreen Drive and South Tommy Street. Vehicle had been stopped by MLPD; later in the day the Adams County Sheriff's Office said the vehicle was reported stolen. The vehicle was located and searched, and a debit card belonging to an Othello resident was found. The card was later reported stolen.

A 27-year-old man was arrested for DUI and possession of heroin. A 26-year-old man was arrested for two outstanding Grant County warrants and a 22-year-old man was arrested on an outstanding Grant County warrant. Officers recognized the 22-year-old, who was a passenger in the 27-year-old's vehicle, and stopped the car.

Report of phone harassment. Victim said the suspect texted threats from multiple phones after she blocked his number.

Feb 14

A man, no age given, was stopped for a traffic violation and was arrested on three outstanding warrants and for third-degree driving with a suspended license.

Report of theft from a damaged residence in the 200 block of West Ridge Road. The homeowner was storing items on the carport of the house, which had been declared uninhabitable after a house fire. Unknown suspects stole a green mountain bike, tools and toolbox and fishing poles.

Report of theft from a residence in the 800 block of North Evelyn Drive. Unknown suspect broke into the victim's car and stole his passport.

Report of traffic accident at a residence in the 2000 block of West Broadway Avenue. Driver of vehicle 1 passed out and hit a house, breaking the gas line in the process. Police had to break a window to get into the vehicle, but the driver was removed and transported to Samaritan Hospital, where she was reported in good condition.

A 46-year-old man was arrested for an outstanding Washington Department of Corrections warrant and a Grant County warrant for DUI.

Report of theft from a residence in the 1000 block of West Third Avenue. Victim said someone stole two lawn chairs from the residence, estimated value $120.

A 28-year-old man was arrested on outstanding warrants after a verbal dispute over a stray dog in the 500 block of North Grape Drive.

Report of phone stolen while the victim was shopping in a business at 601 South Pioneer Way. Estimated value $700.

Report of two-vehicle, non-injury accident in the 900 block of West Broadway Ave. Both drivers claimed the other was at fault.

Report of two-vehicle, non-injury accident in the parking lot of a business at 1141 South Pioneer Way. Unknown vehicle hit vehicle 1 while it was parked in the parking lot.

Report of theft from the parking lot of a business at 601 South Pioneer Way. Unknown suspect entered the vehicle and stole the owner's manual and music CDs.

A 23-year-old man was arrested for a WDOC violation.

A 46-year-old man was arrested for DUI.

A woman reported a horse in her back yard.

A man reported that the people to whom he had rented a house had moved out and taken a number of items with them.

A man reported that he received a threatening message from his daughter.

A female reported that her friend’s boyfriend came to her house, slashed her car tire and punched his girlfriend.

A woman reported that someone broke a window on her car.

A woman reported someone trying to pull the screen off her window.

Sean Whisenhunt, 20, Moses Lake, was booked into the Grant County Jail for fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) with sexual motivation.

Feb. 14

James Pierce, 52, Moses Lake, was booked for third-degree driving with a suspended license, Douglas County warrants for criminal trespassing, making false statements to law enforcement and first-degree driving with a suspended license, and Chelan County warrants for second-degree criminal trespassing, making false statements to law enforcement and third-degree diving with a suspended license.

Robert Cooper, 33, Gig Harbor, was booked on an outstanding Grant County District Court warrant for third-degree driving with a suspended license.

Sherita McDaniel, 28, Auburn, was booked on an outstanding GCDC warrant for third-degree driving with a suspended license.

Julius Cooper V, 37, Spokane, was booked on an outstanding GCDC warrant for driving without a driver's license or other identification.

Julian Latimer, 26, Seattle, was booked on an outstanding Grant County Superior Court warrant for two counts of first-degree assault and drive-by shooting.

Lazaro Continas, 24, Turlock, Calif., was booked on an outstanding GCDC warrant for third-degree driving with a suspended license.

Danny Hunter, 48, Osburn, was booked on an outstanding GCDC warrant for third-degree driving with a suspended license.

Robert Wiltfong, 31, Soap Lake, was booked on an outstanding GCSC warrant for failing to register as a sex offender.
