Michael Wayne Shelton

August 16, 1956 – December 19, 2016

Michael Wayne Shelton was born Aug. 16, 1956 in Toppenish, Wash. to Harold Thomas Shelton and Eva Bell Shelton and passed away Dec. 19, 2016.

Michael moved to Moses Lake, Wash. in 1959 and considered this to be his home. He spent a large part of his life being a long haul truck driver, which he enjoyed doing because he got to see a large part of the United States and took pride in driving with his brother Hap.

Mike loved his family dearly. He loved attending all the family functions, especially Thanksgiving when all the family was together, and all the family camping trips.

Mike leaves behind his wife Cathy Shelton and four sons and a daughter: Jesse and Pam Shelton, Luke and Melissa Shelton, Mark and Jenny Shelton, Scott Shelton and Trisha Merrill. He also leaves behind two sisters and a brother: Deon and (Gary) Cooper, Diane Ehr (Ron), Harold Thomas Shelton and (Tracy Lonas); his grandchildren Araya Shelton, Nevaeh Shelton, Lily Shelton, Ava Shelton, Everett Shelton, Westley Shelton, Bailee Shelton, Landon Shelton and Reagan Merrill-Williams and numerous nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles and cousins.

Mike is resting peacefully now with his mom and dad and his grandma Vera Shelton. He will be missed dearly by all.

Mike was a man who loved hard and lived hard.

A celebration of life will be held at the Eagles Lodge at 1517 W. Broadway in Moses Lake on Jan. 27, 017 from 12 to 3 p.m.
