Wildcats take down Huskies in dual meet

TOPPENISH — Toppenish proved to be too much for Othello to handle in a CWAC wresting match Thursday Dec. 21 as the Wildcats dominated the Huskies 47-21.

The dual meet was knotted 3-3 after Othello’s Chris Melo (113) defeated Gonzalo Aleman 10-4. But Toppenish took nine of the next 10 matches to run away with it.

The Huskies Levi Garza (145) and Isaiah Perez (285) finished strong for Othello, as both won by fall. The Huskies are back on the mat for a home match with Ephrata Jan. 4
