The 9th annual Lutacaga Jog-a-Thon held Oct. 13 was a huge success. The elementary kids raised $11, 075.77, which exceeded their goal of $9,000. The students ran 8,023 laps in the school gymnasium.

The most laps awards per grade went to Bradley Miranda and Zayli Montes (kinder), first graders Ramon Carrillo and Rodrigo Gonzalez, Betsey Policarpio and Xavier Guzman (second grade), third graders Ester Policarpio, Fernada Rosales, Angel Maldonado and Isabelle Padilla, Kimberley Alcarez and Yandel Mendez (fourth grade), and fifth graders Jonathon Rios, David Salmeron and Irving Guzman.

The money raised will be used for books, manipulatives, and extra curricular activities, classroom prizes, teacher appreciation gifts, crossing guard rewards, marimba band instruments, library STEM projects and end of the year inflatable obstacle courses.
