Public help requested to find missing Marlin teen

| December 15, 2017 2:00 AM

MARLIN — The Grant County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help from the public in locating a teenager from Marlin who hasn’t been seen for almost two weeks.

15-year-old James Friend was reportedly last seen in Marlin, his hometown, on Dec. 2. The sheriff’s office says he has not spoken with his family or friends since he was last seen and has not communicated with anyone via social media.

“It is out of his character to not be in touch with family or friends. It’s unknown what he was wearing when he left. He has no other risk factors which would explain why he has not been in touch with anyone,” stated the GCSO in a release.

Friend is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing 140 pounds with brown hair, blue eyes, a light complexion and a goatee. If you have information on Friend’s whereabouts contact the Grant County Sheriff’s Office at 509-762-1160 or email information to crimetips@grantcountywa.gov. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
