Winter yard waste pickup canceled in Moses Lake
MOSES LAKE — Moses Lake officials made the decision to cancel the city’s winter yard waste pickups.
Moses Lake recently announced the new owners of Royal Organics do not want to accept yard waste from city residents any longer. Due to the city’s lack of a location to put yard waste, and because dumping yard waste carts in freezing temperatures has proven to be an issue, the winter yard waste collections, which have previously been held in the second full weeks of December, January and February, were canceled.
City officials are working with carriers to have a solution by spring.
