Warming center open in downtown Moses Lake

| December 6, 2017 2:00 AM

MOSES LAKE — The Moses Lake Warming Center will be open every night, including weekends, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., according to a press release from the Homeless Task Force of Grant County.

The warming center is located at 106 E. Third Ave. and can be accessed through the back door. Volunteers will manage the center and a warm meal will be provided every night. The center is not a sleeping facility, the press release emphasized, but only a place to stay out of the cold.

The task force is in need of water and of volunteers to help clean. Anybody who would like to volunteer time, supplies, food or a donation is encouraged to contact Sheila Chilson at 509-771-2361.
