Search warrants at ML motel turn up drugs, guns

| December 5, 2017 2:00 AM

MOSES LAKE — Search warrants conducted on two rooms at a Motel Lake motel landed eight people in jail last week.

Moses Lake police reportedly took the eight unidentified individuals into custody Friday night in connection with search warrants that were served on two rooms at the Imperial Inn, 905 W. Broadway Ave. Police reportedly recovered two illegally possessed pistols, methamphetamine and heroin at the location.

The MLPD says after the warrants were conducted, officers surveilled the room and arrested several clients who went to the motel to purchase drugs. Officers seized the clients’ cash and they were booked into the Grant County Jail for attempting to purchase drugs.

“These warrants are part of ongoing investigations into the sales and use of illegal drugs in Moses Lake, and more cases are expected,” stated the MLPD in a release.
