Ephrata Fire Department food drive this week

| December 5, 2017 9:19 PM

EPHRATA — The Ephrata Fire Department will conduct its fourth annual food drive for the Ephrata Food Bank from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday.

The fire trucks will be in northeast and southeast Ephrata Wednesday, and northwest and southwest Ephrata Thursday. Food donations also can be dropped off at the fire department office through Dec. 8. The office is located at 800 A St. SE.

The firefighters will be collecting cans, boxes and bags of non-perishable food, complete with a fire truck, and of course the trucks will be using the flashing lights and (occasionally) sirens. “So look for our flashing lights, listen for our sirens and meet us on the street with your items,” said a press release issued by city officials.

People who want to donate or who have questions can contact the fire department, 509-754-4666.
