Rash of car prowls at Pelican Point

| December 4, 2017 3:51 PM

MOSES LAKE — Pelican Point residents are being urged to lock their cars after a rash of car prowls Sunday night and early Monday morning.

“Deputies are investigating more than a dozen vehicle prowls,” said a press release from the Grant County Sheriff’s Office issued late Monday afternoon. All occurred in the Pelican Point area.

“Two white males were seen on a home security camera checking for unlocked cars. When they found one, they took whatever was inside,” the press release said.

Anyone with information about the thefts or the thieves can contact the sheriff’s office at 509-762-1160 or to crimetips@grantcountywa.gov.

“Please remember to lock your vehicle and take anything of value out of the passenger compartment of your car,” the press release said. “Either lock your goods in the trunk or take them inside your home.”
