| August 29, 2017 3:00 AM

MOSES LAKE — The East Columbia Irrigation District has announced that it will stop water deliveries for irrigation on Monday, Oct. 23.

“On Oct. 23, ditchriders will close all farm unit and water service contract turnouts as they begin to drain the canal system,” the irrigation district said in a press release.

The last day for any changes in irrigation water delivery will be Friday, Oct. 20.

The district will also end six-day water deliveries on Sept. 4, going to a five-day service until water deliveries end in October.

Questions about water deliveries or the looming shutoff date can be answered by calling Craig Simpson at 509-488-9671 or emailing him at csimpson@ecbid.org.
