MOSES LAKE — The 74th Annual Moses Lake Roundup Rodeo lived up to its billing as cowboys and cowgirls from around the country and Canada competed for top honors and prize money at the three-day event.

The All-Round Cowboy award went to Russell Cardoza and Jason Minor who tied for the top honor. Cardoza competed in tie down roping, steer wrestling and team roping competition. Minor participated in the tie-down roping and team roping categories.

The bulls hand the upper hand — make that upper hoof throughout the three-day competition. But in the end, Garrett Tribble finished with a score of 89 on signature ride aboard “Damn Straight” to take the top spot. Clayton was a close second with a score of 88.

Chet Johnson and Wyatt Denny each recorded scores of 83.5 to take the saddle bronc and bareback riding events.
