After review of a completed environmental checklist and other infor mation on file with the agency, Grant County Health District has determined this proposal will not have a probable significant adverse impact on the environment. NOTICE: ANNOUNCEMENT OF AVAILABILITY OF DRAFT PERMIT MODIFICATION PERMIT NO.: ST0008062 APPLICANT: City of George PO Box 5277, George, WA 98824 FACILITY: City of George Wastewater Treatment Plant 978 NW Beverly Burke Road, Quincy, WA 98848 The Department of Ecology (Ecology) is proposing a State Waste Discharge Permit (SWDP) modification in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 90.48 Revised Code of Washington (RCW) and Chapter 173-216 Washington Administrative Code (WAC). Ecology is proposing to modify the City of George's SWDP by adding monitoring and reporting requirements for the septage influent flow from the Gorge to get more accurate values of actual influent wastewater. Ecology is issuing a draft amended permit and fact sheet amendment and is only accepting comments on the modified portions. The wastewater, following treatment, must meet the requirements of the Washington State Water Pollution Control Act and applicable regulations for a permit to be issued. A final determination will not be made until all timely comments received in response to this notice have been evaluated. PUBLIC COMMENT AND INFORMATION The draft modified permit and fact sheet amendment may be viewed at the following Ecology website: https://fortress.wa.gov/ecy/wqreports/public/f?p=110:302:2776603073699586::NO:RP. The fact sheet and proposed modified permit, and other related documents are also available at Ecology's Eastern Regional Office for inspection and copying between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., weekdays.
