MOSES LAKE — Three teenagers were arrested in Moses Lake on Tuesday in connection with an armed robbery.

About 1:40 p.m. the Moses Lake Police Department received a report of a robbery in the 800 block of North Stratford Road. The victim, a 16-year-old boy, told police he was there to buy a phone and was approached by three teenage boys, one of whom allegedly brandished a handgun and demanded money, according to MLPD Capt. Dave Sands.

The three suspects fled the scene and hopped into a nearby Lincoln Navigator, which was reportedly spotted by an officer at Doolittle Park on Patton Boulevard a short time later. Three male juvenile suspects, who reportedly matched the description the victim gave to police, were taken into custody. A teenage girl, who is suspected to have been involved in the robbery, reportedly approached the area and was taken into custody as well.

The four suspects were booked into the Grant County Juvenile Detention Facility on suspicion of first-degree robbery.

“Investigators served a search warrant at a residence in the 300 block of Offutt (Drive) and recovered a Taurus 9mm handgun that matched the firearm described by the victim in this case,” Sands said.

The suspects are all between 16 and 17 and from the Everett area, with the exception of one of the boys, who is believed to have just moved to Moses Lake.
