Moses Lake man injured in Thursday night collision

MOSES LAKE — A Moses Lake man was allegedly intoxicated when he crashed his vehicle in Moses Lake late Thursday night.

About 11:45 p.m. Brandon Burrs, 34, of Moses Lake, was driving a 2008 Lexus IS south on state Route 17 and entered the South Pioneer Way intersection at a high rate of speed. Burrs reportedly failed to negotiate a left turn and lost control, with the Lexus sliding into a curb and rotating. The Lexus came to a rest facing north in one of the southbound SR-17 lanes, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Burrs was injured in the collision and transported to Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake by ambulance for treatment. The Lexus sustained reportable damage and was impounded. The patrol reports Burrs was intoxicated at the time of the collision. Charges are pending.
