2 injured in collision near Moses Lake

MOSES LAKE — Two people were injured in an early Saturday morning collision south of Moses Lake.

About 1:30 a.m. Manuel Esteban Ambrosio, 33, of Othello, was driving a 2000 Honda Accord north on state Route 17, about 12 miles south of Moses Lake, when he crossed the centerline as he was going around a curve. He reportedly collided with a southbound 2006 Chrysler 300 driven by Inelda Martinez, 48, of Othello. Both of the vehicles came to a rest blocking the southbound lane, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Martinez and her passenger, Ubaldo Martinez, 52, of Othello, were injured and transported to Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake for treatment. Esteban Ambrosio was not injured.

Citations are pending in the case, according to the patrol.
