Nancy made her trip to heaven to be with our Savior on July 27, 2017. Nancy was born on June 16, 1948 in Chehalis, Wash. to Harvey H. Allison and Ina Allison. She had and is survived by two sisters Jayne (Allison) McCarley of Vancouver, Wash. and Glenda (Allison) Anderson and her husband William Anderson of Moses Lake.
On June 21, 1969, Nancy married Harley John Brotherton in Moses Lake at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Nancy and Harley have three children. Their son is Harley J. Brotherton II, married to Erin (Hancock) Brotherton in May 2007 and residing in Kalispell, Mont. with their two sons, Reece Brotherton (8 years old) and Rafe Brotherton (6 years old). Nancy and Harley’s older daughter is Allison M. (Brotherton) Miles, married to Richard M. Miles in June of 1999 and residing in Kirkland, Wash. They have one son, Colin M. Miles (10 years old). The youngest daughter, Magge M. Brotherton, resides in Moses Lake and has one daughter, Emily J. Brotherton (18 years old), also of Moses Lake.
During Nancy’s life, her pride and passion was her family. Her pride and joy was her one granddaughter and her three grandsons. Nancy lived with her family in Kalispell, Mont. where the children went to St. Matthew’s Catholic school until 1990. She was involved in St. Matthew’s Catholic School and devoted to living a life with Christ as the center of her and her family’s life. The family moved back to Moses Lake in 1991 to be close to her ailing mother. From 1991 to the present, she was actively involved in support groups for Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and numerous other organizations. She was president of the local Soroptimists group doing community services. She was also involved in Chapter ER of the local PEO sisterhood, a woman’s philanthropic and education group promoting woman’s education. Nancy was always personally involved in her favorite organizations and gave herself unselfishly to each of her favorite causes.
Her kindness and unselfish, positive attitude when facing serious medical conditions was one of the things for which she will be remembered. Her infectious smile made all that knew her feel better. You would always leave feeling that you were important to her.
Nancy is survived by her husband Harley of 48 years, three children, four grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Two sisters are also surviving her. Her parents Harvey and Ina Allison and her father-in-law and mother-in-law Harley B. Brotherton and Margret Brotherton all preceded her in death.
