WILSON CREEK — The three candidates for Wilson Creek School District Director No. 5 were only separated by 15 votes after Tuesday night’s unofficial primary election results were released.

Incumbent and board vice-chair Ron Lesser was the leading vote getter with 50 votes, a 40.32 percent total. Lesser was followed by challengers Lane Ribail, who took 39 votes, a 31.45 percent total, and Teresa (Teri) Garay who received 35 votes, a 28.23 percent total.

Although the race in Wilson Creek included Grant County and parts of Lincoln County, the Lincoln County vote total did not have an impact on the overall outcome. In Lincoln County only two ballots were cast, with Lesser and Garay receiving one vote each.

The next scheduled ballot count is 4 p.m. today.
