MOSES LAKE — Although the overall method and execution of the event is different from years past, Moses Lake residents still have the opportunity to get rid of items on Saturday during the city’s annual Spring Clean event.

The event, which will replace the curbside Spring Clean event that was offered in past years, is free and offered to city residents only and will take place at the Surf ‘n Slide Water Park, 401 W. Fourth Ave., from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. People who are planning on dropping off items are encouraged to enter the parking lot via Beech Street.

The following restrictions are set in place for the event: city residents only, photo identification must be presented for address verification, quantity is limited to 3 cubic yards and tires must be removed from rims.

The following items are excluded: large amounts of demolition or construction debris, rocks, bricks, appliances and other heavy metal items, paints, solvents and other hazardous waste, brush and tree trimmings, yard waste, building materials with nails and commercial waste.

For more information on the event contact 509-764-3716 or 509-764-3715.
