Richard E. Hofstetter

May 26, 1941 – April 20, 2017

Richard E. Hofstetter, 75, Moses Lake resident since 1967, passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at his home.

Richard was born on May 26, 1941 in Fresno, Calif. Upon graduating from High School, he moved to Seattle where he worked for Boeing for six years, before moving to Moses Lake to work for his father, Russell Hofstetter, at Russ’s Used Cars. In 1997 Richard and his son Mark opened R&M Auto Sales.

Richard loved fishing, hunting, tennis, and bowling. His feisty spirit and wit made him one of a kind. Richard had many friends and was loved by many but had a special place in his heart for the Russell family and best friend, Ron Duvall.

Survivors include his ex-wife Marie Hofstetter; sons Mark (Caroline) Hofstetter and Brian L. Hofstetter; daughters Rachel Hofstetter and K.C. Lyn Hofstetter; grandchildren Colton, Danielle, Jon-Erik, Shelby, David and Kaylie and great-grandchildren, McKenzie, Dallas and Jaxson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Curtis Eugene Hofstetter.
