Prep roundup: Ephrata wins non-league golf match

SOAP LAKE — Class 2A Ephrata was able to beat a pair of 1A schools comfortably in a non-league match at Lakeview Golf and Country Club.

The Tigers (345) bested Royal (413) and Warden (427).

Sean Couture shot a team-low 83 for Ephrata, but was followed closed by teammates John Rawley (84) and Jayce Moore (85).

Royal’s Chase Janett shot an 97 and Warden’s Adam Richins shot an 95.

OTHELLO — Quincy shot a team score of 349 to defeat Othello (362) and Wapato (431) in a CWAC league match.

Patrick Azevedo led the Huskies with a score of 75.

Ben Garza (87), Sam Azevedo (97), Daniel Rivera (103) and Jon Ozuna (106) made up the rest of Othello’s scores.

WARDEN — Warden fell to Wahluke at home 6-1.
