AVISO DE AUDIENCIA PÚBLICA DEL CONSEJO DE CIUDAD DE OTHELLO Aviso por este medio esta dado que el Consejo Municipal de la Ciudad de Othello tendrá una audiencia pública para considerar la autorizaron al personal de la ciudad para solicitar una Subvención de Desarrollo Comunitario (CDBG) en le montón de $750,000 para Propósito General solamente a través de una licitación estatal financiero para la fundación de servicios públicos que benefician principalmente a personas de ingresos bajos y moderados. Notice of Public Hearing City of Othello City Council - Sagestone 8th Addition Plat Notice is hereby given that the City Council for the City of Othello will hold a public hearing to consider a developers agreement request submitted by Olsen Homes LLC. The agreement is related to the division of approximately 20.3 acres into 94 residential lots in the R-4 zoning district. OTHELLO CITY COUNCIL PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE Notice is hereby given that the City Council for the City of Othello will hold a public hearing to consider authorizing City staff to apply for a $750,000 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) General Purpose Grant through a statewide competitive basis to fund public facilities that principally benefit low and moderate income persons. The proposed projects include the construction of a new well and a new reservoir for the City of Othello. The public hearing is scheduled for Monday, May 8, 2017 shortly after 6:30 p.m. The public hearing will be held in the Othello Council Chambers, 500 E Main Street, Othello, WA. The purpose of the public hearing is to receive citizen's input on the proposed well and reservoir projects, particularly from lower income citizens. Comments may also be submitted in writing to the City of Othello by April 28, 2017. An outline of the proposed project will be available for review at the Othello City Hall by 5 p.m. on April 14, 2017. The City of Othello Council Chambers is handicap accessible and the City can reasonably accommodate special needs requests. A Spanish speaking interpreter will be available to accommodate non-English speakers. PUBLIC NOTICE The East Columbia Basin Irrigation District will be making aquatic herbicide treatments beginning in May 2016 and continuing through the end of the 2017 irrigation season. these herbicide treatments will be made pursuant to a Department of Ecology NPDES General Permit for Aquatic Weed Control in Irrigation Systems (Permit No. WAG-991010). The District's service area is located in Moses Lake, Warden and Othello areas of Grant and Adams Counties. The District operates the East Low Canal and its laterals plus some laterals on the Potholes East Canal. 49 locations on various canals, laterals, wasteways and drains within the District's service areas will receive these treatments to control the growth of algae, moss and pondweeds. Frequency of treatments varies from as often as biweekly to as seldom as twice per irrigation season depending on location and circumstances. Permanent signs giving notice of aquatic herbicide treatments have been erected at public road crossing of treated waterways within one mile of the treatment sites. The herbicides being used for these treatments are copper sulfate, Nautique Aquatic Herbicide (copper), Aquatic Weed Killer (xylene), Endothall and Magnicide H (acrolein) which are registered for such use under the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA). Water remains suitable for irrigation use during aquatic herbicide treatments. Treated water is not suitable for drinking or swimming. Individuals desiring additional information about these treatments should contact the East District's main office in Othello at (509) 488-9671 and ask to speak to the Secretary-Manager or Water Quality Supervisor.
