MOSES LAKE — Two men are now lodged in the Grant County Jail after they were reportedly caught trying to burglarize a home in Moses Lake early Monday morning.

About 4:30 a.m. a woman contacted MACC Dispatch from inside her residence in the 1200 block of Arlington Drive reporting someone was attempting to break into her home, according to the Moses Lake Police Department on Monday.

The Grant County Sheriff’s Office requested the MLPD respond to the residence, which is in the Larson housing area north of Moses Lake, as there were no deputies nearby. MLPD officers arrived at the scene and reportedly found Travis Stotts, 21, and Victor Mejia, 19, attempting to break into the house.

Stotts and Mejia were arrested without incident at the scene and booked into the Grant County Jail for residential burglary.
