5 injured in collision near Quincy

QUINCY — A Ephrata man was allegedly intoxicated when he struck another vehicle on state Route 28 near Quincy Saturday.

About 9:05 p.m. Jacob Dorr, 42, of Ephrata, was driving a 1996 Dodge Caravan east on SR-28, about 5.5 miles east of Quincy, when he allegedly crossed the centerline. Dorr struck a 1996 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme driven by Miguel Navarro, 51, of Quincy. Both the vehicles came to a rest in a ditch, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Dorr, Navarro and Navarro’s passengers, Carolina Navarro, 45, of Quincy, an 11-year-old girl and a 13-year-old boy, were injured and transported to Quincy Valley Medical Center for treatment. Both of the vehicles involved in the collision were totaled and impounded.

The patrol reports Dorr was arrested for DUI.
