MOSES LAKE - Two teenagers were injured in a two-vehicle collision in Moses Lake Thursday morning.

About 9:05 a.m. Adrian Tapia-Martinez, 18, of Warden, was driving a 2003 Honda Accord north on state Route 17 and slowed down for the traffic signal at the SR-17/Broadway Avenue intersection. Tapia-Martinez’s vehicle was reportedly rear-ended by a 2007 Ford Crown Victoria driven by Mikayla Ross, 18, of Othello, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The Crown Victoria came to a rest in the intersection, while the Accord pulled over to the shoulder. Both Ross and Tapia-Martinez received injuries in the collision and were taken to Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake for treatment.

Both of the vehicles sustained reportable damages in the collision. The patrol reports Ross was cited for following too close.
