MOSES LAKE — A man and woman are now lodged in the Grant County Jail after police reportedly recovered almost a pound of methamphetamine, heroin, cocaine and a stolen rifle in a Moses Lake residence over the weekend.

About 3:30 p.m. on Sunday Moses Lake Police Department Officers served a search warrant for drugs at a residence in the 900 block of East Hill Avenue. MLPD officers reportedly recovered 13 ounces of meth, more than 5 grams of heroin and a small amount of cocaine inside the home.

In addition, police recovered a rifle inside the residence that had been previously reported as stolen out of California. Taken into custody at the scene were Jessie F. Rodriguez, 27, of Moses Lake, and Elissa M. Villegas, 24, also of Moses Lake. Rodriguez and Villegas were booked into the Grant County Jail on charges of possession of meth with intent to deliver, possession of heroin and possession of cocaine.

“The investigation is continuing and there may be additional charges forthcoming,” stated the MLPD in a release. “This warrant was the result of ongoing drug trafficking investigations in the city by Moses Lake police officers.”
