Grant PUD offers power presentation in Ephrata

EPHRATA – Grant PUD will celebrate Public Power Week with a presentation about the formation of the PUD on Monday, Oct. 3, in Ephrata.

The presentation will be given at 6 p.m. in the Grant PUD Commission Room at 30 C. St. SW. The presenters will be PUD publicists Chuck Allen and Thomas Stredwick.

The presentation will spotlight the pioneers in Grant County who had the vision to dream big dreams. Those dreams included large-scale hydroelectric power projects to serve the region and creating a county-wide Public Power utility service.

“Everyone in Grant County has been affected by the vision and actions of these early pioneers,” Allen said. “Their legacy is the benefit we receive in having some of the most affordable and reliable power in the nation.”

“We look forward to sharing the story of Grant PUD with our customers,” Allen added.
