She was involved in the Spokane Club, ballroom dancing, Deaconess Hospital, walking and fitness and traveled extensively to Egypt, Africa, Japan, Australia, etc. She traveled to the Midwest and East visiting relatives and tracing her family ancestry. Her children also loved to vacation with Mother, in Alaska, Mexico, Kauai and even gunk holing up the Inland Passage through Canada to Alaska in a 20-foot boat or 28-foot catamaran.
