ROYAL CITY – Jeremy Russell and Shawn Vetterick have a one-point lead after five weeks of the Royal Golf Association fall league, and five teams are still in the race.

Russell and Vetterick took the lead with a 15.5-point week because of a forfeit by the Dorsing, Scroggins and Scroggins team. That team has struggled to appear because of other commitments and is out of the race.

The team of Patrick Dorsing and Ray Valle had a 14.5-point week with a 57-62 win over Chad Smith and Riley Christensen. Smith and Christensen acquired 9.5 points in the match.

In the other match contested on the course, Andrew Perkins and Roger Trail defeated Kent Christensen and Alex Myrick, 61-64. That gave Perkins and Trail 10.5 points and Myrick and Christensen 5.5 points.

The league now goes into specialty competitions. The next round will be played by the Stableford scoring system.
