Sept. 14

Report of two large dogs running at large in the 100 block of West Knolls Vista Drive. The dogs reportedly attacked a cat and were impounded. The owners of the dogs are going to be cited and the dogs are going to be declared as potentially dangerous.

A student at Moses Lake High School stole a phone from a teacher on Sept. 13 and returned the phone on Sept. 14.

A business in the 13200 block reported receiving a fraudulent phone call from a person claiming to represent the IRS.

Report of damage done to a business' window in the 200 block of West Third Avenue. Police could not determine what caused the damage and no evidence was located to support malicious mischief.

Police assisted Moses Lake High School staff with a student who was possibly under the influence of an intoxicant.

A woman told police she was missing several purses from her residence in the 200 block of North Manzanita Street.

A man told police the tires on his vehicle were damaged by a knife on Cole Road Northeast.

Report of two Hispanic males leaving Safeway without paying for an unknown amount of alcohol.

Report of multiple subjects smoking marijuana at a park in the 900 block West Central Drive. The subjects were contacted and advised of city ordinances concerning alcohol, tobacco and marijuana in city parks.

A man was arrested for fourth-degree assault after punching his wife in the 100 block of West Broadway Avenue.

A man reported that his trailer had been broken into.

A woman reported receiving threatening text messages.

A woman reported that she and her granddaughter were arguing and she wanted the granddaughter out.

A man reported that his tires had been slashed.

Four juveniles were reported smoking marijuana.

A man reported that a rock hit his vehicle window.

A man reported that a male subject who was drinking and driving hit his car in the parking lot and left.

A woman reported that her husband was calling her and making threats against her and her family.

A business reported damage to apple bins, docks and toilets.

Pigs were reported in the roadway.

Sept. 14

Bryan Burke, 37, of Moses Lake, was booked on a Department of Corrections secretary's warrant for probation violations.

Michelle Ortiz, 23, of Elmer City, was arrested and booked for second-degree malicious mischief and fourth-degree assault.

Shawn Fisher, 33, of Electric City, was arrested and booked for violating a protection order and an outstanding Grant County District Court warrant for violating a no-contact order.

Antonio Martinez III, 26, of Warden, was arrested and booked for violating a temporary protection order.

Lazelda Foster, 21, of Soap Lake, was arrested and booked for fourth-degree assault and outstanding GCDC warrants for third-degree malicious mischief and violating a no-contact order.

Angela Neal, 40, of Moses Lake, was arrested and booked on an outstanding GCDC warrant for third-degree theft.

Jack Goodwin III, 31, of Moses Lake, turned himself in for an outstanding GCDC warrant for third-degree driving with a suspended or revoked license.

Zane Barr, 23, of Soap Lake, was booked on a five day commitment for rendering criminal assistance.

Cristel Simpson, 24, of Moses Lake, was arrested and booked for possession of methamphetamine, second-degree vehicle prowling, third-degree theft and second-degree criminal trespassing.

Sept. 15

Rafael Ochoa Jr., 18, of Warden, was arrested and booked on an outstanding Grant County Superior Court warrant for third-degree assault and outstanding GCDC warrants for fourth-degree assault, possession of 40 grams of marijuana or less and obstructing a law enforcement officer.

Virginia Balderas, 42, of Moses Lake, was arrested and booked for violating a no-contact order and an outstanding Franklin County warrant for failure to comply with a court order.

Nathan Tudor, 21, of Moses Lake, was arrested and booked on outstanding GCDC warrants for third-degree driving with a suspended or revoked license and fourth-degree assault.
