Lorina Frieda Radach of Moses Lake, Wash. passed away on Aug. 27, 2016, at the age of 85.

She was born Lorina Frieda Gross in Ritzville, Wash. to Bill (Gotthilf) Gross and Rosina Schaal Gross on June 10, 1931. She entered school at Lind, Wash. and moved to Dryden, Wash. in 1945 to complete high school. There she married Lee Radach on August 24, 1952. Lorina was a mother and active partner on the family farm near Warden. She and husband Lee moved to Moses Lake in 1988. Lorina often said, “I love the Lord,” and she was an active volunteer at the Warden Community Church, serving in the Ladies Aid and Sunday School and as church organist from 1971 to 1995.

Lorina was also known for her hand-crafted items. She loved to tat and made many doilies, bookmarks and cards to sell and give away. She won many ribbons for her tatting at the Grant County Fair, and was always willing to teach the skill to others. She also crocheted many afghans and baby blankets to be given to loved ones.

The Radachs owned an RV for 43 years and every fall Lorina looked forward to returning to Yuma, Ariz. where they would spend the winter months. Lorina loved to sell her tatting at craft shows in Yuma. She was also a member of the Wannigan Trailer Club.

Lorina is survived by her husband Lee; her son, Ron Radach and wife Linda of Lake Forest Park, Wash.; her daughter, Kathryn Kester and husband David, of Lopez Island, Wash., and grandchildren, Kevin Radach and wife Rachael, Kyle Radach and wife Kristi; Adam Kester, and Laura Kester.
