Nick Wallace is good for local people

| September 8, 2016 1:45 PM

While reading Nick Wallace’s campaign literature regarding the Grant County Superior Court Judge race, I needed an answer. Actually, a clear definition of the statement “10-plus years of judicial experience as a judicial officer in Grant County Superior Court on a temporary basis.”

Consequently, I called Nick Wallace’s campaign manager, Jeremy Huberdeau. For those who don’t know Jeremy, he is a home-grown young man, a graduate of Moses Lake High School with a law degree from Gonzaga. His wife, Ivy, is also a MLHS graduate. Having three young children, they certainly have a vested interest in the future of Moses Lake, as well as Grant County.

Now as to the original question, here is the answer. Those with the knowledge and authority to do so found Nick Wallace the most qualified to serve as a judicial officer for the Grant County Superior Court. In essence, this means that when a judge is ill, or on vacation, or whatever the reason being, is unable to attend court, Nick Wallace assumes the responsibilities. Nick has done this for well over 10 years — therefore experience does matter.

Nick Wallace has been mentored well over 10 years by Judge Evan Sperline, who is retired. Both Judge Sperline and retired Judge Ken Jorgensen are strongly endorsing Nick Wallace. Who better to know who is most qualified?

I thank Jeremy Huberdeau, Nick’s campaign manager, for promptly responding to my inquiry. It was made easier, as he lives and has his law office here in Moses Lake.

Do you have any idea who Estudillo’s campaign manager is? From my understanding, she lives in the Seattle area and has no idea about the people of Grant County. My response is “duh!”

I urge you to look on Facebook at www.facebook.com/wallaceforjudge.
