CB Community Concert Association presents tenor trio

MOSES LAKE — A trio of tenors will take the stage at 7 p.m. Nov. 3 as the musical group Tenore performs at the Wallenstien Theater. The performance is sponsored by the Central Basin Community Concert Association.

For many years the CBCCA was a subscription series, where only season tickets were available. Now tickets are also available for individual concerts.

The group’s name is the Italian word for “tenor,” and combines the voices of tenors Mark David Williams, David Wise and Carlos Santiago, according to the group’s Facebook page. The group will release a new album, “The Impossible Dream,” in November.

The group’s current tour focuses on classic pop and pop’s cousin, Broadway show tunes. Their website includes music from such Broadway classics as “The Sound of Music.” The group has a Gospel career also, with multiple awards from the Gospel Music Association.

The Central Basin Community Concert Association was formed in 1956 to bring live music to Moses Lake and the Columbia Basin. In its 62 years the association has sponsored everything from opera and art songs to folk and country music, to classical music to soul to pop music to gospel.

Season tickets also come with reciprocal agreements for concerts sponsored by other community groups that use the same booking company, Live on Stage. Members of CBCCA can attend concerts free of charge in Sunnyside, Wenatchee, Richland, Shelton, Longview, Bremerton, Centralia and Everett.

The two remaining concerts for 2016-17 season are scheduled for March and April 2017. Derik Nelson and Family are a brother-brother-sister team specializing in three-part harmonies with a country sound. Cherish The Ladies is a five-woman group applying their instrumental – violin, guitar, flute, keyboard and accordion – and vocal talents to Celtic music.

Season tickets are $60 for adults, $135 for families (four people), $85 for a single parent family and $30 for students 18 years of age and younger. Single concert tickets are $35 for adults, $70 for a family and $45 for a single parent family. Single concert tickets depend on availability.
