QUINCY — A Moses Lake woman was injured in a two-vehicle collision near Quincy Friday.

About 9:10 a.m. June Boruff, 51, of Ephrata, was driving a 2007 Dodge Nitro north on state Route 281, about five miles south of Quincy, when she stopped to make a left turn. Clayborn Clapp, 51, of Ephrata, was reportedly following Boruff in a 2003 Ford transport van and attempted to avoid hitting the rear of the Nitro, but his van reportedly glanced off the side of the Nitro. The van came to a rest alongside a canal bank, while the Nitro came to a rest in the middle of the road, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Clapp’s passenger, Enedina Perez, 40, of Moses Lake, was injured transported to Quincy Valley Medical Center via ambulance for treatment.

The patrol reports Clapp was cited for speeding too fast.
