Oct. 19

Police contacted a subject who was sleeping in his car in the area of West Peninsula Drive and South Peterson Place. The man was advised of camping prohibitions in the city and agreed to leave.

A tow company reported receiving a check from a customer that was written on a closed account. The person who wrote the check advised they had moved several times and did not realize the account had been closed.

Report of a woman walking in traffic on West Fifth Avenue. Officers were not able to contact the subject.

An unknown subject left Safeway without paying for merchandise. The suspect fled the store in a 1993 Honda Civic.

A business reported a man completely filled up their dumpster in the 1100 block of West Broadway Avenue. The business wanted to pursue criminal charges against the suspect. The incident is under investigation.

A woman who was found sleeping in the Moses Lake Post Office was contacted and advised to sleep somewhere else.

A man who had previously been trespassed from Safeway was contacted inside the store. The man had reportedly concealed a bottle of alcohol in his bag and was arrested.

Confluence Health advised a man came into their clinic and harassed employees.

A business reported that an employee who had been put on administrative leave was threatening them.

A business reported a shack had been broken into.

A man reported that his vehicle had been broken into overnight.

A shed was reported broken into.

A woman reported that her neighbor threw something at her car when she drove by.

A woman reported that a male subject against whom she had a restraining order ran a male friend of hers off the road.

A man reported subjects dumping garbage illegally.

A man reported that his ex, who had a restraining order against him, was texting him.

A man reported that his sister’s boyfriend threatened to “put a bullet in his head.”

A business reported that a former employee who had been fired but allowed to remain on the premises was using drugs and had access to a weapon.

A man reported that his mini-storage unit had been broken into and gone through.

Oct. 18

Shanda Gutierrez, 41, of Othello, was arrested and booked on an outstanding Grant County Superior Court warrant for eight counts of second-degree theft.

Ashely Herdt, 31, of Tacoma, was booked on an outstanding Grant County District Court warrant for third-degree driving with a suspended or revoked license.

Raymond Martinez, 44, of Moses Lake, was arrested and booked on a Department of Corrections secretary's warrant for probation violation.

Ruben Lucio Jr., 32, of Beverly, was booked on an outstanding GCSC warrant for first-degree burglary and an outstanding GCDC warrant for DUI.

Kyle Richards, 21, of Moses Lake, was arrested and booked on an outstanding GCDC warrant for third-degree theft.

Oct. 19

Michael Leishman, 30, of Moses Lake, was arrested and booked for second-degree  burglary and third-degree theft.

Robert Hash, 57, of Moses Lake, was arrested and booked for third-degree driving with a suspended or revoked license, operating a vehicle without an ignition interlock system and an outstanding GCDC warrant for harassment.

Mario Ortiz-Perez, 53, of Moses Lake, was booked on an outstanding warrant out of Franklin County for third-degree rape.

Jacob Jackson, 28, of Coulee Dam, was arrested and booked on a DOC secretary's warrant.

Richard Ruff, 31, of Moses Lake, was arrested on a DOC order.

Daniel Lemus, 28, of Othello, was arrested and booked on a GCDC commitment for first-degree driving with a suspended or revoked license.

Oct. 20

Dewayne McClung Jr., 33, of Grand Coulee, was arrested and booked on outstanding GCDC warrants for fourth-degree assault and interfering with reporting of domestic violence.
