Wallace has lived a life of service to Grant County

| October 20, 2016 1:00 AM

As this race comes to a close – with ballots to be sent out shortly – it is important to pass along two key reasons why we believe Nick Wallace is the superior candidate for Grant County Superior Court Judge.

First: Nick Wallace has developed and maintained a successful practice, in Grant County, for two decades. While a judge should apply the law to the facts before him or her, the judge must have an sense for the real-world implications of those decisions on the people before him.

Mr. Wallace has engaged thousands of clients, opposing parties and opposing counsel. He has worked as an arbitrator, pro tem commissioner, and mediator. He has handled cases and matters across practice areas.

These facts are indisputable and they give Mr. Wallace important insight into the real-world implications of how decisions made impact the parties before him. Mr. Estudillo’s practice, so small in contrast, cannot have prepared him so well.

Second: Many judges are appointed by the governor, but it is rare where the appointee is largely unknown, who had not developed contacts within the community in which he practices.

Many of you know Mr. Estudillo’s name, today. He has campaigned furiously. But how many of you who might vote, knew Mr. Estudillo by name, face or reputation, before he was appointed?

While you may or may not have known Mr. Wallace’s name, you know his type. The guy or gal who returned from work and wandered out in the community to make it a better place. The guy or gal or sacrificed his or her vacation or personal time, to help a child become a better person.

Know this: Only one candidate has lived a life of service to Grant County.

Vote Nick Wallace for Grant County Superior Court judge.
