Time to come together and elect Hillary Clinton

I appreciated the editorial column in tonight’s paper (Oct. 13). Yes, elections have come and gone over my lifetime and I have voted at different times for candidates who were Republican or Democrat.

I do look at the issues and what I feel is more important for our country at the time. It was our finest hour when we elected Barack Obama, especially after living through the civil rights era. It was his time and he has been a very good president.

The current political rhetoric is awful. I do think it is time for a woman to be president. She has dedicated her life to serving her country, and knows the world stage. She is more qualified than any other person in history. We need healing in this country; we need dignity, respect and common courtesy.

It is time for us to come together and make Hillary Rodham Clinton our next leader. I’m with her and God bless America.
