Estudillo has support from Republican Party

As a conservative member of the Grant County Republican Party, I want to correct the misleading letter written by Ken Chadwick, one of Nick Wallace’s law partners.

Contrary to the impression created by Mr. Chadwick, the Grant County Republican Party has endorsed both Judge Estudillo and Mr. Wallace in the Superior Court race. This dual endorsement was given for a variety of reasons, but many of our party leaders are impressed with Judge Estudillo’s values of “hard work, faith, family, education and community” that he so often expresses. We find them to be consistent with the values of the Republican Party and believe he is doing an excellent job as a judge. In fact, Judge Estudillo has been endorsed by many prominent Republicans in Grant County: Sen. Judy Warnick (R), who held a gathering in her home for Judge Estudillo recently; former Sen. Joyce Mulliken (R), who wrote a public letter in support of the judge; Prosecuting Attorney Garth Dano (R), who also published his support for the judge; Dayna Dent, Lucinda West, and about 15 local mayors and city council members – all known Republicans – and me. Yes, I too believe that Judge Estudillo is doing a great job, holds conservative values, and should be retained.

Mr. Chadwick also notes that his partner, Nick Wallace, has been endorsed by business owners in Grant County. Well, so has Judge Estudillo – everyone from Mick Qualls to small business owners who are just as important to the vitality of our economy.

Judge Estudillo is the only candidate who has been endorsed by both parties. I consider that a plus. It is also a plus that he does not have longstanding personal and professional relationships that could get in the way of objectivity and fairness. Please join me in voting to retain Judge Estudillo.
