Cozy Comforts Bazaar and bake sale on Dec. 3
DESERT AIRE — The Cozy Comforts of South Grant County’s annual bazaar and bake sale is set for Dec. 3 at the Sagebrush Senior Center, Cozy Comforts President Diane Hanson has announced.
The bazaar and bake sale will go from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. It will feature a Seahawks section. So far, there are slippers, an afghan, tote bags, infinity scarfs, cowls, hats, a Christmas sock, bracelets and key holders, with more items to come.
In the food category, there will be cookies of all kinds, pies, cakes, cupcakes, candy, fudge, and snack items and more. In the non-food category, crocheted dish cloths, pot scrubbers, tote bags, gift bags, scarfs, quilts, afghans and more.
As usual, there will be a lunch of hot chicken soup, crackers and dessert bar.
The popular granny table will be loaded with one-of-a-kind, just-gotta-have-it bargains. The raffle prizes include a basket of gift cards, donations from local businesses, crocheted afghans and more items still coming in.
There will be a silent auction including many gift baskets and more. Lots of goods Christmas gifts. Members are selling raffle tickets, at $1 each for a basket of gift cards and many more items.
In the past seven years, Cozy Comforts volunteers have created more than 8,800 afghans, quilts and fleece blankets for children in need of a blanket hug. They are distributed through agencies that come in contact with at-risk children, including law enforcement.
Cozy Comforts depends entirely on the generosity of individuals, corporations and local companies to help carry out this much-needed mission.
“We would love to see you at the sale to help us support our mission,” Hanson said.
