MATTAWA — After the completion of the sixth Missoula Children’s Theater play with a Wahluke School District cast, Wahluke Activities director Cody Marlow still marvels at how MCT staff and Wahluke students do it.

This year’s production, “Alice in Wonderland,” was staged last week. It involved more than 30 students, ranging in grade from K-12. The Wahluke School District Intramural program has been sponsoring this event for the past six years.

“It is such a great program for our kids and our community,” Marlow said. “It is amazing how well the actors/directors from MCT get the kids to perform in a short five days.”

The students auditioned on Monday and performed on Friday, rehearsing from Monday through Thursday

“Truly amazing,” Marlow said.

Marlo appreciates the play selections by the MCT. They are always full of humor and make for a very nice event to take the whole family. The audiences last week were ample delighted.

“I want to give a special thank you to Elvia Greisen, who chaperoned the kids all week,” Marlow said. “Also to Lorraine Jenne who has been our accompanist for all six years. This is truly a great program for any and all communities to get involved in.”

Throughout its 45-year existence, the Missoula Children’s Theatre International Tour has fostered developmental life skills in more than a million youngsters. Just this year, the MCT will work with 65,000 children in more than 1,200 communities in all 50 states and 17 countries.
