Prep roundup: No. 5 ACH beats Cusick, earns state berth
COULEE CITY — Almira/Coulee-Hartline scored 28 unanswered points and beat Cusick 28-8, earning a berth in the Class 1B state tournament.
Cusick led 8-0 early before Maguire Isaak took over. Isaak ran for two touchdowns and threw two more, racking up 338 total yards.
Payton Nielson caught one of Isaak’s touchdown passes and finished with 146 receiving yards.
ACH travels to Pomery for its first-round game.
Lind-Ritzville/Sprague 40, Davenport 8
RITZVILLE — Lind-Ritzville/Sprague used a 21-point second quarter to pull away from Davenport and win 40-8.
Davenport led 8-0 before the Broncos scored 40 straight points. Chandler Widman led LRS with touchdown runs of five and four yards and a 15-yard touchdown reception.
Kittitas 20, Soap Lake 14
KITTITAS — Soap Lake was unable to complete its comeback and lost to Kittitas 20-14.
The Eagles trailed 20-7 before recovering a fumble in the end zone. However, the ensuing onside kick was recovered by Kittitas.
Othello earns No. 2 crossover seed
GRANDVIEW — Othello held off Selah 7-6 in a Kansas City tiebreaker to earn the CWAC’s No. 2 crossover seed.
Both teams scored touchdowns, but Selah’s extra point went wide right. Othello will host West Valley Tuesday at 6 p.m.
Prosser beat Selah 7-0 in the other tiebreaker and will travel to Pullman on Tuesday.

Clarkston 3, Othello 0
OTHELLO — Othello was bounced from the postseason, losing to Clarkston 3-0.
Taylen Wohl led the Bantams with a goal and an assist.

Cheney 3, Othello 2
CHENEY — Othello was denied a return trip to the state tournament after a five-set loss to Cheney 25-21, 25-16, 27-29, 29-31, 15-10.
Almira/Coulee-Hartline 3, Odessa-Harrington
COLBERT — Almira/Coulee-Hartline captured a district championship with a sweep of Odessa-Harrington 25-23, 25-21, 25-18.
Gabi Isaak led the Warriors with 12 kills and two blocks.
ACH will play Rainier Christian in the first round of the 1B state tournament, 8 a.m., Nov. 11 at the Yakima Valley SunDome.
