Memorial Day services to be held in Quincy, Ephrata and Soap Lake

QUINCY — Memorial Day services are planned at cemeteries in Quincy, Ephrata and Soap Lake on Monday to honor the sacrifice of those who have died while serving in the armed forces.

Lambert-Schultz Post 183, of the Quincy American Legion, is hosting Memorial Day services on Monday at the Quincy Valley Cemetery. Services are set to start at 12:30 p.m. and will include a memorial prayer and a short Memorial Day message followed by a three-round rifle volley salute and the playing of “Taps.”

In addition to the service in Quincy, services will also be held at the Soap Lake Cemetery at 10 a.m. and the Ephrata Cemetery at 11 a.m., with the public encouraged to attend any of the three services.
