December 16, 1967 – May 21, 2016

Robert Wayne Busherd, 48, was born December 16, 1967 and passed away May 21, 2016. Born and raised in Moses Lake by Jerry and LoraLee Busherd, Robert’s life consisted of fishing, cooking, bowling and having family and friends around him at all times. He looked like and was as big as a grizzly but he had the heart of a teddy bear.

Robert graduated from Moses Lake High School in 1986 and then served in the Marines. He was also well known for always helping others and yet never being willing to ask others for help. It was nothing for him to show up to a friend’s house and jump in to help with what was needing to be done.

Robert was preceded in death by his mother LoraLee Busherd and his father-in-law Richard Conway. He is survived by his loving and supportive wife Tonia Busherd; son John Busherd (Spokane, Wash.); daughter Angelica Niverson, husband Kodi Niverson and two granddaughters Sophia and Genevieve (Moses Lake, Wash.); daughter Lizabeth Busherd and Brandon Harrington (Moses Lake, Wash.); daughter Briceida Gomez (Moses Lake, Wash.) and many foster children. He is also survived by his father Jerry Busherd (Lind Wash.); brother D.L. Busherd (Moses Lake, Wash.); sister Stacey Busherd (Rockford, Wash.) and Sky and Lindsey Conway and son Carson (Moses Lake, Wash.), along with many other children he helped support and raise. His favorite quote was “DNA does not make a family – love does.”

In lieu of flowers the family wishes to have donations be sent to: Robert Busherd Memorial Fund, www.gofundme.com/25g3nwx8 or the Epilepsy Foundation.

The funeral service will be held on May 28, 2016 at 2 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Nelson Road Chapel, 1849 Nelson Road. Please sign the online guestbook or leave a note for family at www.kayserschapel.com. Arrangements are in care of Kayser’s Chapel & Crematory.
