Joe Lang & Maggie Delay headed to state in three events
Ana Villafan and Elizabeth Guadarrama of Royal and Jessica Arellano of Wahluke run in the lead pack at the start of the 3200. Arellano moved up to third well before the finish and qualified for state with a new school record time. The old record had lasted 16 years.
Royal’s Joe Lang uncorks a leap of 22-3.75 in the long jump on his second attempt, coming within a quarter-inch of the school record, then goes about qualifying for state in two more events.
