Incident allegedly occurred Wednesday, is under investigation
SOAP LAKE — A Soap Lake Elementary teacher was placed on administrative leave pending an investigation into alleged mistreatment of a student in the kindergarten classroom.
The incident allegedly occurred Wednesday near the end of the school day, according to a press release from the Soap Lake School District.
District officials said the staff member was a kindergarten teacher but didn’t name the teacher. Superintendent Dan McDonald said the incident was under investigation and declined further comment. Soap Lake Police Chief Glenn Quantz was not available for comment.
