February 24, 1948 – May 15, 2016

Ron H. Knopp, 68, a longtime Moses Lake resident and beekeeper passed away Sunday morning, May 15, 2016 at home. Interment will be in Guarding Angels Cemetery. A celebration of his life will be held from 4 to 6 p.m., Saturday, May 21, 2016 at the Moses Lake Elks Lodge, 814 N. Stratford Road. This will be a potluck.

Ron was born in Hamilton, Mont. on Feb. 24, 1948, son of Howard and June (Wienke) Knopp. When he was 2 years old, Ron’s family moved to Moses Lake. He was married to M. Terri Knopp in 1967 in Moses Lake. They lived in Seattle for seven years before returning to Moses Lake where they have lived since.

Ron owned and operated his own beekeeping company. He enjoyed working in his yard, and raising animals including chickens, ducks, goats and geese. He loved spending time with family and his dogs and cats.

Survivors include his wife, Terri; two sons, Craig and Curt Knopp; brothers, Randy (Sharon) Knopp and Russ Knopp; sister-in-law, Cathy (Mike) Broberg; brother-in-law, Mike (Melody) Jenson. Ron was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Rick Knopp.
