Thanks to clean-up volunteers

| May 12, 2016 1:00 PM

On behalf of Vision 2020, I would like to thank you all for your help and cooperation with this year’s 14th annual Vision 2020 Citywide Clean-up. While the final tally of refuse collected is still being determined, our city streets, vacant lots and parking lots are much cleaner because of your help and the help of some 300-plus volunteers. The Porterhouse restaurant provided a delicious lunch for all following Saturday’s event. Lakeside Disposal did a great job with taking care of all waste collected, even helping unload the trucks as they arrived full of garbage. Several area organizations were involved in making this year’s clean-up a success. The Moses Lake Chamber of Commerce and the MLBA provided their support as they do every year. Donations of supplies were received from Ace Hardware, Lowe’s, Home Depot, Grocery Outlet, Walmart, Frito-Lay, Porterhouse Steakhouse, KBSN/KDRM Radio, the Columbia Basin Herald and iFiber One News.

This year’s event would not have been possible if it was not for the help of our volunteers who gave up part of their Saturday to make our city shine. Service clubs, church groups, industry organizations, local businesses, families, friends and neighbors, elected officials – they were all out in force.

Thank you again for your help and support in making Moses Lake the jewel that we all know it is.
