Report of theft from a church at 1020 A St. Two wallets were stolen from the church office, probably on the previous day.

Report of attempted phone fraud. Reporting party said caller claimed he won $500,000 and would need money up front to process the award.

Report of vandalism at a residence in the 900 block of South Ironwood Drive. Reporting party said there was damage to the back door.

Report of credit card fraud. Suspect stole the victim’s wallet and used a credit card, also taking $100.

Report of attempted vehicle prowl. Suspect entered the victim’s vehicle and attempted to take stereo equipment.

Report of recovered stolen vehicle. Vehicle was stolen from Othello.

Report of hit-and-run accident at the intersection of South Monroe Street and East Nelson Road. Juvenile was crossing Monroe Street when he hit was by the car. The driver stopped, backed up, asked the juvenile if he was OK and left the scene. Car was described as a black four-door passenger car, possibly Nissan Acura, described as shiny but dusty. Driver was described as a Hispanic female about 20 years of age.

A 19-year-old man was cited for third-degree theft and permanently trespassed from a business at 200 East Broadway Ave. after allegedly concealing about $20 worth of merchandise in his socks.

Report of theft from a business at 516 West Third Ave. Unknown suspects stole an ornamental water fountain sometime between 2 a.m. Sunday and 5 p.m. Monday, using a hand truck to move it down the alley. Fountain is described as including an angel missing two wings and painted white. It was valued at about $250.

Report of hit and run accident sometime between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. at Moses Lake High School, 803 East Sharon Ave.

Report of theft from a business at 1005 North Stratford Rd. Suspect, identified as a 25-year-old man, entered the business, filled a bag with clothes, left the store and ran to a vehicle in the parking lot, leaving the scene. Charges are pending.

Report of vehicle prowl at a residence in the 2100 block of South Dilley Avenue. Victim’s car was entered overnight and stereo equipment stolen, valued at about $500.

Report of a male lying in a parking lot at the Moses Lake Public Library, 481 East Fifth Ave. Victim said he was assaulted by an unidentified white female and black male, allegedly from Seattle.


Grant County Jail

May 9

Steven Moncada, 40, of Moses Lake, was booked on a Grant County Superior Court warrant.

Luis Sorto, 48, of Quincy, was arrested for a Grant County District Court warrant.

William Laroque, 32, of Moses Lake, was arrested for fourth-degree assault domestic violence.

David Lerma, 79, of Quincy, was arrested for fourth-degree assault domestic violence.

Jesse Criswell, 35, of Electric City, was arrested and booked on forgery and third-degree theft.

Alondra Yanez, 19, of Royal City, was arrested and booked on a Department of Corrections arrest order.

Colleen Hill, 52, of Ephrata, was arrested and booked on a GCDC warrant.

Lorenzo Britton, 51, of New York City, was arrested and booked on fourth-degree assault domestic violence.

Brian Power, 32, of Soap Lake, was arrested and booked on two GCDC warrants.

Michael Uptain, 25, of Moses Lake, was arrested and booked on a GCDC warrant.
