May 29, 1927 – April 19, 2016

Valeria June Gardner, 88, passed away on April 19, 2016 in Kirkland, Wash. June was born on May 29, 1927 to Luther Elwood Waldrip and Nellie Valeria (Casady) Waldrip in Havre, Mont., where she was one of ten children.

She served as assistant to the principal at Warden High School and was very active in the Warden Community Church and the PTA.

June touched many lives with her generosity, love and caring nature. One of the special ways she showed love was with her baking. Whether it was to support charities or church fundraisers, she always gave generously. In addition, she had something special baked for the kids and their friends after school. She was so busy cooking for large groups of friends and family that she would always say, “I ran a bed and breakfast before bed and breakfasts were even invented.” June will be greatly missed by her family and community of friends.

June is survived by her two daughters, five grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren, three sisters and a brother along with many nieces and nephews.

June was preceded in death by her husband Roy A. Gardner, son George and daughter Donna; parents Luther and Valeria Waldrip and five siblings.

Service will be held on May 14, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. at the Cross of Christ Lutheran Church in Bellevue, Wash.
