PROJECT: A Conditional Use Permit to enable the expansion of an existing Grant County Public Works Department equipment storage yard/maintenance facility on a portion of an approximately 7.45-acre parcel in the Urban Residential 3 zoning district of Grant County.

Notice is hereby given that a Conditional Use Permit application received by Grant County on April 21, 2016 from the Grant County Public Works Department (Designated Contact: Jerome Wawers, 124 Enterprise St. SE, Ephrata, WA 98823, 509-754-6082) was found to be technically complete on April 27, 2016. PROJECT: A Conditional Use Permit to enable the expansion of an existing Grant County Public Works Department equipment storage yard/maintenance facility on a portion of an approximately 7.45-acre parcel in the Urban Residential 3 zoning district of Grant County. Expansion will include demolition of an existing fire-damaged shop, and construction of a new 45-ft. x 72-ft. (approximately 3,240 square ft.) shop building with a 24-ft. x 45-ft. (approximately 1,080 square ft.) outdoor open storage area. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Building Permit. STUDIES REQUIRED: None. LOCATION: The subject area is an approximately 3.8-acre portion of Parcel #15-0050-000. The site address of the subject parcel is 24378 Broadway Ave. SW, Mattawa, WA. The subject area is located south and east of the city limits of Mattawa, WA, and approximately 1 mile southeast of the intersection of State Highway 17 and Road 24 SW, and in the NE quarter of Section 2, Township 14 North, Range 23 East, WM, Grant County, WA. PRESENT ZONING: Urban Residential 3. PUBLIC HEARING: Hearing Examiner meeting tentatively scheduled at 1:00 pm, June 15, 2016, in Commissioners' Hearing Room of Grant County Courthouse in Ephrata, WA. At this time any person(s) may appear and provide testimony. CONSISTENCY STATEMENT: This proposal is subject to and shall be consistent with Grant County Code, International Building Code, and International Fire Code.
